Here we have the debut of the much anticipated gelatinous monstrosity. Please allow me to introduce to you the vegetable aspic. Basically, aspic is made from gelatin and the less desirable parts of many meats. In this particular case, we have a lovely medley of zucchini, eggplant, onions, asparagus, lettuce and tomato set in Jell-O.

This petrified dish is served here with canned peas and corn, hardboiled eggs and topped with a spread of mayonnaise. Fourscore and seven years ago, the Baked Alaska came to be. Are you really going to question a recipe from Martha? I feel personally victimized by this gelatinous…thing.

Oh, the humanity. Pineapple has gotten a bad rap throughout this list, what with the horrifying liver sausage nightmare and all if you try really hard, you might just be able to supress that memory forever. But this kitschy cake recipe definitely redeems the tropical fruit thanks to a handful of complimentary ingredients like cinnamon and nutmeg. You can also spice the cake up to your liking by adding pecans, or maraschino cherries for even more retro vibes.

There are no words for this truly sacrilegious combination of foods. The good name of the hollandaise sauce we know and love from eggs Benedict has been sullied by this God-awful recipe.

Some prefer to stick to bread when dunking into their melted cheese, while others might be tempted to slather up some veggies like red peppers, carrots or potatoes with the cheesy goodness.
